Google Business Profile vs your BookAndGo page — run both

These two tools do different things. Done right, they amplify each other. Most businesses treat them as alternatives and miss the synergy.

The single most common mistake Australian service businesses make online is treating their Google Business Profile and their booking page as competing channels. They're not. They serve different purposes in the funnel.

Google Business Profile — discovery

GBP is how you show up in Google Maps, the 3-pack, and 'near me' searches. It's a discovery layer. Nobody reads a GBP to decide if they'll book — they read it to decide if they'll click through.

BookAndGo page — conversion

Your BookAndGo page is where the actual booking happens. Services, availability, reviews, the chat bot, payment. It's the conversion layer.

How to link them

In your GBP settings, set the 'Appointment link' and the 'Website' to your BookAndGo URL. Google will surface a 'Book online' button directly in search results. Clicks from this button have the highest conversion rate of any channel.

Google Business Profile reviews don't automatically sync to BookAndGo, and vice versa. Run review requests on both sides.
