Starting Out
Picking a booking page slug that actually ranks
Your public booking URL is /your-slug. Pick it well and Google sends you clients for free. Pick it badly and you're invisible.
Your BookAndGo public URL is bookandgo.com.au/your-slug. That slug is more important than people realise — it appears in every link, every email, every social share. Google reads it. Clients remember it.
Use your business name, not a nickname
If your business is 'Peregian Beach Massage', use peregian-beach-massage, not peg-massage or pbm. Exact match improves search ranking and client recall.
Keep it short, but not cryptic
Sweet spot is 3-5 words with hyphens. 'sarah-jones-physio' is perfect. 'sarahjonesphysiooakleigh' is too much. 'sj' is too little.
Include a location if you can
'bondi-beach-yoga' ranks for local searches that 'amandas-yoga' never will. If your business name doesn't include a suburb, consider adding one to the slug.
Frequently asked
Can I change my slug later?
Yes, but old links stop working. If you've shared your booking URL publicly, plan the change carefully.
Does the slug affect SEO?
Yes. It's part of the URL Google indexes. A keyword-rich slug helps you rank for local searches.
