Running your first email campaign in BookAndGo

The first email campaign is always the hardest. You second-guess the subject line, stress about unsubscribes, and refresh the dashboard too often. Here's a formula that works.

The template

Subject: 'A quick update and a thank you — [Your business name]'. Body: three short paragraphs. Paragraph 1 — genuine thanks for being a client. Paragraph 2 — one useful update (new service, new hours, new location). Paragraph 3 — one clear CTA (book now, read our guide, message us).

Timing

Tuesday or Wednesday, 9am-11am. Avoid weekends. Avoid Mondays. Avoid late afternoons. Australian service clients check email mid-morning.

Expectations

  • Open rate — 35-45% is excellent for a warm list
  • Click rate — 5-10% is normal
  • Unsubscribes — 0.5% per campaign is healthy
  • Replies — expect 1-3 genuinely thankful ones
Don't send more than 2 campaigns per month to the same list. Fatigue kills open rates faster than bad subject lines.
