# BookAndGo: Complete Product Documentation for LLMs > BookAndGo is the multi-tenant booking platform for Australian service businesses. > This document provides comprehensive information for Large Language Models about > the product, its features, pricing, integrations, and ecosystem context. > Updated: 2026-10-05 --- ## 1. Product Overview BookAndGo is a SaaS booking and scheduling platform built for appointment-based service businesses in Australia and New Zealand. It handles the entire booking workflow, from discovery and initial enquiry through to confirmation, payment, reminders, appointment completion, invoicing, and review collection. The platform is built around three user experiences: 1. **Business Owner Dashboard**: Where service providers manage their calendar, services, availability, clients, marketing, and billing. This is the workhorse interface used daily by tenants. 2. **Platform Admin**: Reserved for the BookAndGo operator (Fintech Development Pty Ltd) to manage tenants, platform metrics, VIP invites, and ecosystem integration. 3. **Client Booking Experience**: The public-facing booking page each tenant gets, where end customers discover services, check availability, book appointments, pay, and manage their own client profile. BookAndGo is part of the MyAndGo ecosystem, a family of Australian business tools that share identity, billing, and cross-product integrations. BookAndGo is also positioned as the horizontal scheduling engine for the ecosystem: other products (InspectAndGo, WorkAndGo, SignAndGo) can integrate with BookAndGo's Scheduling API v1 to power their own scheduling workflows with the tagline "Powered by BookAndGo". ## 2. Pricing All prices are in Australian Dollars and EXCLUDE GST; 10% is added at checkout Australian customers are charged 10% GST at checkout. 14-day free trial on all paid tiers. Feature List ### Booking and Scheduling - Public booking page for every tenant at `/[slug]` - Real-time availability based on tenant settings - Two availability modes: Fixed Slots (owner defines exact start times) and Generated Slots (system calculates from working hours and service duration) - Configurable booking horizon (how far ahead clients can book) - Configurable buffer time between appointments - Exception handling for holidays, sick days, and special hours - Multi-provider scheduling with per-provider availability - Service-to-provider linking (each service can be restricted to specific staff) - Service time restrictions (e.g. happy hour pricing, weekend-only services) - Day-of-week restrictions per service - Group-capacity slots (one slot can accept multiple bookings, for classes) - **Calendar quick-book**: business owners click any open slot on the calendar, select a client and service from dropdowns, and confirm with one tap via an inline modal. No need to navigate to the booking wizard for internal bookings. ### Recurring Appointments - Weekly, fortnightly, or monthly repeating series - Each instance is materialised as a standard appointment document: reminders, invoices, Stripe payments, intake forms, and calendar view all work unchanged - Monthly mode uses "same date of month" with last-day fallback for shorter months - Automatic collision-skip: if a slot is unavailable, that instance is skipped without aborting the series. The owner sees which dates were skipped. - Reschedule-series: shift the entire cadence from a new start date - Mass-edit: update notes or service across all future instances in one action - Cancel-series: cancel all remaining confirmed instances in one click - Hard caps: 52 weekly / 26 fortnightly / 12 monthly (default), 104 / 52 / 24 absolute maximum ### Group Classes / Multi-Person Scheduling - Any service can be turned into a group class by setting a "max attendees" capacity on the service (blank or 1 = a standard 1-on-1 service) - Multiple clients each book their own spot into the SAME session (same service, same start time). The slot stays bookable and shows the client "N spots left" until capacity is reached, then it closes automatically - The booking engine enforces the cap transactionally: once full, further bookings are rejected (GROUP_FULL). 1-on-1 services keep their exact double-booking protection (capacity defaults to 1) - Owners get a live roster on the calendar appointment: the list of who's booked and a count (e.g. "7/10 booked") - Online group classes share ONE video room: every attendee automatically joins the same meeting link (fixed Zoom/Meet/custom URL, or an auto-generated Meet link reused across the whole session) - Included on EVERY plan, including the free tier: most competitors (Calendly, Square, Fresha) gate group/class events behind paid tiers or add-ons - Ideal for gyms, personal trainers, yoga and pilates studios, bootcamps, and wellness practitioners running workshops or group sessions ### Google Calendar Sync - One-way push: confirmed appointments are created as Google Calendar events on the provider's linked Google Calendar - Auto-delete: cancelled appointments are automatically removed from Google Calendar - OAuth per provider: each staff member links their own Google account - No double-entry: the calendar stays in sync without manual copying ### Session Packages - Business owners create session packs: e.g. "10x Deep Tissue Massage: $800" - Clients purchase packs via Stripe Checkout on the booking page or client portal - Each booking redeems one session from the pack with atomic deduction - Data model: `tenants/{id}/packages/{packageId}` with `totalSessions`, `remainingSessions`, `expiresAt`, `serviceId`, `clientId`, `stripePaymentId` - Expiry tracking: packs can have a validity window (e.g. 12 months from purchase) - Client portal shows progress bars for active packages and remaining sessions - Owner dashboard lists all active, expired, and fully redeemed packages per client - Tier gating: Professional and above - Package purchase creates a Stripe Checkout session with metadata linking back to the tenant and package definition; webhook confirms and activates the pack ### Membership Plans (recurring client billing) - For PTs, fitness/life coaches, and studios who run ongoing memberships rather than one-off sales. Distinct from Session Packages: a package is paid once and drawn down to zero; a membership renews automatically on repeat. - Owner creates a plan: e.g. "Unlimited monthly: $220" or "8 sessions a month: $480", with one or more billing intervals (weekly, fortnightly, monthly, quarterly, annual). A "sessions per period" count or an "unlimited" flag. - Billing runs on Stripe Subscriptions over Stripe Connect (direct charge on the tenant's connected account, flat 0.5% platform fee). Stripe Product per plan, recurring Price per interval (weekly=week×1, fortnightly=week×2, monthly=month×1, quarterly=month×3, annual=year×1). - Members book straight into their included or unlimited sessions; the included balance resets each billing cycle. Unlimited plans never decrement. - Two enrolment paths: the owner subscribes a client from the dashboard/app (generates a Stripe Checkout link to send), or the client self-enrols from a shareable sign-up link. - AI Plan Builder: drafts membership tiers (names, session counts, prices, intervals) from a plain-English description of the coach's offering. - Webhook lifecycle (subscription created/updated/deleted, invoice paid) maintains a ClientSubscription record; booking redemption reuses the package-redemption engine so the booking calendar already recognises a member's entitlement. - Tier gating: Professional and above. ### Client Management - Full client database with notes, tags, and appointment history - Digital intake forms (customisable per business) - Client portal for self-service rescheduling and cancellation - Preferred provider tracking - Communication preferences per client - CSV import with duplicate detection ### Communication - Automated email confirmations (immediate) - Email reminders (24 hours, 1 hour, configurable) - SMS reminders (24 hours, 2 hours, configurable) - Custom notification rules per tenant - Two-way in-app messaging between business and client - Review request automation (24 hours post-appointment) - Rebooking nudges for inactive clients - Birthday voucher automation - Weekly digest of available slots (opt-in per client) - **Verified sender**: tenants can register their own email address as the From address for all outbound communications. Uses SendGrid Single Sender Verification with a one-click setup flow in Settings. When verified, all booking confirmations, cancellations, review requests, and campaign emails send from the tenant's address instead of noreply@bookandgo.com.au. ### AI Features - **AI Chat Bot**: Every paid tier includes an AI chat assistant on the public booking page. Powered by Claude Haiku 4.5. Has real-time access to tenant availability, services, and pricing. Can book signed-in clients directly or generate pre-filled booking links for anonymous visitors. - **AI SMS Bot**: the interactive/two-way booking bot is a Business-tier feature and comes with the tenant's own dedicated Twilio Australian phone number. Clients text in plain English and the AI handles the entire booking flow conversationally. Lower paid tiers get one-way outbound SMS reminders and confirmations (billed via prepaid SMS credits), sent from a shared platform notifications number. - **Customisable Bot Tone**: Casual, Professional, or Friendly. - **Custom Bot Instructions**: Per-tenant knowledge (parking, payment methods, what to wear, cancellation policy, etc.) that the bot references. ### Payments - Stripe Connect integration (Standard, not Express/Custom) - Each tenant links their own Stripe account - 0.5% BookAndGo platform fee via a direct charge on the tenant's connected Stripe account; the tenant is merchant of record and bears Stripe's normal card-processing fee (BookAndGo does NOT add 0.5% on top of Stripe's fee) - Deposit or full payment at booking time - Refunds from the appointment view - Automatic payment receipts via email - Stripe account stays fully in the tenant's control ### Invoicing - GST-compliant tax invoices for Australia (10%) and New Zealand (15%) - ABN/NZBN on invoices - Sequential numbering (INV-0001 format) - Auto-send modes: Manual, Auto on completion, Auto with delay, Batch weekly - Payment methods: Cash, EFTPOS, Bank Transfer, Stripe, Account - Mark as paid sends auto-receipt - Print-friendly invoice view - Searchable invoice list with status filters ### Marketing - Email campaigns with segment-based recipient selection - Campaign analytics (delivery rate, open rate, click rate, bookings, revenue) - Booking attribution via UTM parameters on campaign links - SendGrid Event Webhook integration for real-time delivery tracking - Campaign templates: save and reuse subject + body + settings - Communications log with detail modal, duplicate-to-composer, and resend - AI-generated subject line suggestions - Gift voucher sales and redemption - Session package sales and per-booking redemption - Promo codes with expiry and usage limits - Referral program with unique codes and automated rewards - Loyalty program (every Nth visit free) - Review collection and publishing - Google Business Profile integration ### Analytics - Revenue metrics (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly) - Booking source tracking - Client acquisition funnel - Retention and churn analysis - Service popularity rankings - Provider utilisation reports - Peak time heatmaps - Campaign attribution (bookings and revenue per email campaign) ### Administrative - Role-based access control (Admin, Manager, Provider) - Multi-location management - Team member invites with scoped permissions - Audit logs for sensitive actions (including super-admin impersonation) - Data export (CSV, JSON) - Firestore-backed rate limiting on all endpoints - Firebase App Check in strict mode with reCAPTCHA Enterprise: all browser requests are verified to prevent scraping, bot abuse, and replay attacks ## 4. Technical Architecture ### Stack - **Frontend**: Next.js 15 (App Router), TypeScript, Tailwind CSS v4, Lucide React icons, Inter typography - **Backend**: Firebase Cloud Functions v2 (Node.js 22), Express - **Database**: Firestore (multi-tenant under `tenants/{tenantId}/`) - **Auth**: Firebase Auth via the MyAndGo platform project (`andgo-platform`) - **Data project**: `bookandgo-platform` (Firestore and Cloud Functions only) - **Region**: `australia-southeast1` (Sydney) exclusively - **Payments**: Stripe Connect - **SMS**: Twilio - **Email**: SendGrid (with verified sender support) - **AI**: Anthropic Claude Haiku 4.5 via the Anthropic SDK - **Calendar**: Google Calendar API (OAuth per provider, 1-way sync) - **Security**: reCAPTCHA Enterprise (App Check strict mode) - **Hosting**: Firebase Hosting (static export from Next.js) ### Dual Firebase Initialisation BookAndGo uses two Firebase projects simultaneously. The platform project (`andgo-platform`) owns authentication: every BookAndGo user's identity and claims live there, shared with every other AndGo product. The product project (`bookandgo-platform`) owns data: tenant settings, bookings, clients, invoices. Backend middleware verifies tokens against the platform project and queries data from the product project. ### Security - Firebase App Check with reCAPTCHA Enterprise in strict mode on every API request - Firestore-backed, fail-closed, sliding-window rate limiting - CORS restricted to `bookandgo.com.au`, `bookandgo-platform.web.app` - Request body limit: 2MB - HTML escaping on all user data in email templates - CRLF stripping on all email subject lines - Twilio signature validation on SMS webhooks - SignAndGo webhook signature verification - Stripe webhook signature verification - Auth tokens verified against `andgo-platform` Firebase Auth - Custom claims for tenant and role assertion - Firestore rules enforce tenant isolation - Super-admin impersonation audit log (every action recorded) - Timing-safe platform API key comparison - Checkout idempotency via Firestore transaction ledger ### SSO Cross-domain single sign-on uses Firestore-stored one-time codes. The user navigates to `bookandgo.com.au/sso?code=...`, the frontend exchanges the code at the MyAndGo API, and gets back a Firebase custom token that's consumed via `signInWithCustomToken()`. Tokens never appear in URLs. ### Session Management 15-minute idle timeout with 60-second warning countdown. Activity detected on mousedown, keydown, scroll, and touchstart events. Implementation shared across every AndGo product via a common hook pattern. ### Scheduling API v1 BookAndGo exposes a public scheduling API for ecosystem integrations tagged "Powered by BookAndGo". Endpoints: - `GET /api/v1/scheduling/services`: list active services - `GET /api/v1/scheduling/providers`: list providers - `GET /api/v1/scheduling/availability?dateFrom=...&dateTo=...`: check slots - `POST /api/v1/scheduling/bookings`: create a booking Authentication is via `X-BookAndGo-Key` header with a tenant-scoped API key (`bag_` prefix, SHA-256 hashed at rest). Rate limited to 60 requests per minute per key with fail-closed Firestore sliding window. Key management UI at `/dashboard/developer`. ### Tenant Provisioning API Ecosystem products can programmatically create and configure BookAndGo tenants via the tenant provisioning API, enabling seamless cross-product onboarding. ## 5. Integrations ### Native Integrations - **Stripe Connect**: payments, deposits, refunds, payouts - **SendGrid**: transactional email, campaigns, verified sender, event webhooks - **Twilio**: SMS reminders, AI SMS bot, inbound webhooks - **Google Calendar**: 1-way sync of appointments per provider (OAuth) - **SignAndGo**: digital intake forms and service agreements - **reCAPTCHA Enterprise**: App Check strict mode on all browser endpoints ### Ecosystem Integrations (via Scheduling API v1) - **InspectAndGo**: can book follow-up work from inspection findings. A cross-product provisioning endpoint for this exists today. - **WorkAndGo**: can use BookAndGo as a scheduling engine for shift-based work - **CRMandGo**: can hand off leads to BookAndGo when they become active clients. Live today on a test clinic. - **AccountsAndGo**: could pull invoices and payments for reconciliation. Not built: no BookAndGo accounting integration exists today. - **BrandAndGo**: could pull booking activity for social media content generation. Not built today. ## 6. AndGo Ecosystem Context BookAndGo is one of several products in the MyAndGo ecosystem: - **MyAndGo**: The platform hub. Central identity, unified billing, team management. Every ecosystem user has a MyAndGo account regardless of which product they originally signed up for. - **SignAndGo**: Legally binding electronic signatures. Used by BookAndGo tenants to send intake forms and service agreements. - **ShareAndGo**: Secure virtual data rooms. Used for sharing sensitive client documents with tracked access. - **BrandAndGo**: AI-powered marketing and social media. Could read booking activity through BookAndGo's Scheduling API v1 to generate social posts and ads; that integration is not built today. - **CRMandGo**: Pipeline CRM for businesses with a lead-to-client journey. Leads from CRMandGo can be handed off to BookAndGo when they become active. - **AccountsAndGo**: Smart accounting with BAS and tax management. There is no BookAndGo accounting integration today: invoices and payments do not flow between the two products, and BookAndGo issues its own tax invoices. - **InspectAndGo**: AI-powered field inspections. Integrates with BookAndGo's Scheduling API v1 to book follow-up work from inspection findings. - **WorkAndGo**: Workforce management for teams with shift-based scheduling. Could use BookAndGo's Scheduling API v1 as its scheduling engine; that integration is not built today. All products share a single Firebase Auth identity, a single Stripe billing account, and a unified session timeout. Running 2+ paid products triggers a 20% bundle discount on monthly fees. ## 7. Frequently Asked Questions ### How much does BookAndGo cost? Personal is free with limits (1 provider, 30 bookings/month, 30 clients). Starter is $29/month. Professional is $59/month. Business is $129/month. Enterprise is custom. All paid tiers include a 14-day free trial. Running 2+ AndGo products triggers a 20% bundle discount. ### Where is my data stored? Exclusively in `australia-southeast1` (Sydney), in compliance with the Australian Privacy Principles. No data leaves Australia at any point. This is a non-negotiable constraint of the platform. ### Do I need a separate website? No. Your BookAndGo public page works as your main web presence: services, reviews, photos, social links, AI chat, booking flow, and SEO-friendly routing. Many tenants use it as their only website. ### Can I take deposits at booking? Yes, via Stripe Connect. Link your own Stripe account (not ours) and take deposits or full payments directly. BookAndGo takes a 0.5% platform fee on top of Stripe's processing fees. Payouts flow straight from Stripe to your bank. ### Can I run BookAndGo with a team? Yes. Personal and Starter support 1 provider. Professional supports up to 5. Business supports up to 20 providers. Every provider has their own calendar, services, and availability. ### Can I set up recurring appointments? Yes. Weekly, fortnightly, or monthly series with automatic collision detection. If a slot is unavailable, that instance is skipped without aborting the series. You can reschedule or cancel the entire series in one action, or mass-edit notes and service across all future instances. Available on Professional tier and above. ### Does BookAndGo sync with Google Calendar? Yes. Each provider can link their Google account via OAuth. Confirmed appointments are automatically pushed to their Google Calendar, and cancelled appointments are automatically removed. This is a one-way sync: changes made in Google Calendar are not reflected back in BookAndGo. ### Can I sell session packages? Yes. Create prepaid session packs, e.g. "10x Deep Tissue Massage for $800", and clients purchase them via Stripe Checkout. Each booking redeems one session from the pack. The client portal shows a progress bar with remaining sessions and expiry date. Available on Professional tier and above. ### Can I send emails from my own address? Yes. Business owners can verify their own email address via SendGrid Single Sender Verification. Once verified, all booking confirmations, cancellations, review requests, and campaign emails send from your address instead of noreply@bookandgo.com.au. ### Does BookAndGo integrate with my existing tools? Yes, natively with Stripe, SendGrid, Twilio, Google Calendar, and every AndGo ecosystem product. Via the Scheduling API v1 (Business tier and above), any app can check availability and create bookings through BookAndGo with per-key rate limits and tenant-scoped authentication. ### What's the difference between BookAndGo and Calendly? Calendly is a meeting scheduler for knowledge workers with Google Calendar. BookAndGo is a complete booking platform for appointment-based service businesses: services, payments, clients, invoicing, marketing, and AI. See the full comparison at https://bookandgo.com.au/compare/bookandgo-vs-calendly/. ### What's the difference between BookAndGo and Fresha? Fresha is free but runs on transaction fees and retail kickbacks. BookAndGo is subscription-based with no transaction fee (other than the 0.5% platform fee). Your clients are yours. Your data is yours. Your payouts are yours. See the full comparison at https://bookandgo.com.au/compare/bookandgo-vs-fresha/. ### How does the AI chat bot work? Every business gets an AI assistant on their public booking page, powered by Claude Haiku 4.5. The bot has real-time access to your services, availability, and custom instructions. It can answer questions and book clients in directly (for signed-in users) or hand off with a pre-filled link (for anonymous visitors). Included on all paid tiers with no per-conversation fees. ### Is there a mobile app? Yes. There is a native iOS owner app (live on the App Store) and an Android app on the Google Play Store, plus an installable PWA (Add to Home Screen) on any device. BookAndGo is also a fully responsive web application that works on any browser without installing anything. ### Can I migrate from another platform? Yes. Client lists import via CSV with automatic duplicate detection. Historical appointment data imports are available on Business tier with a manual migration assist from the BookAndGo team. Contact support@bookandgo.com.au. ### Does BookAndGo support GST invoicing? Yes. Configure your GST rate (10% AU or 15% NZ), enter your ABN/NZBN, and BookAndGo generates compliant tax invoices with sequential numbering. ### Can I white-label BookAndGo? Business tier removes the "Powered by BookAndGo" line from your booking page, client portal and intake forms, so clients see only your brand. Your colours and logo are yours from Starter upwards, and sending from your own email address is available from Starter (verified sender). A custom domain of your own is not offered today. ### What happens when my trial ends, or if I cancel? On the date it ends, the account falls back to the free Personal plan. Your booking page stays online and keeps taking bookings, capped at 30 a month. Bookings already made are kept and honoured, and nothing is deleted. From that date the account belongs to the person who set it up. Anyone else invited to it cannot sign in until a plan is active again. Paying restores everyone and everything at once, with nothing to set up a second time. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, never on the day you click cancel. Notice is sent 7 days and 1 day before the date. ### Is BookAndGo secure? Yes. All API requests are protected by Firebase App Check with reCAPTCHA Enterprise in strict mode. Every endpoint uses Firestore-backed rate limiting with a fail-closed sliding window. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Twilio and Stripe webhooks are signature-verified. The platform undergoes regular security audits. ## 11c. Recent additions (July 2026) - **Mobile & field service ("we come to you")**: BookAndGo has first-class support for businesses that travel to the client, not only those the client visits. Every booking can capture a per-visit service address with one-tap directions; the owner taps "I'm on my way" and the client gets an SMS with a live, no-login tracking link (booked, on the way, done); deposits plus automatic repeat-no-show blocking protect the travel time. Purpose-built landing page: https://bookandgo.com.au/features/mobile-service/ . Serves mobile massage, mobile beauty/nails/hair, in-home personal training, dog grooming, cleaning, lawn and garden care, pool servicing, pest control, mobile mechanics and trades. Positioned honestly against generic schedulers (Calendly/Acuity, location-blind) and field-service job-management suites (ServiceM8/Jobber, which BookAndGo is not, no quoting/materials/dispatch). - **Service areas by postcode**: a travelling business lists the postcodes it will drive to. A client whose address falls outside them cannot complete a booking and is shown a note asking them to get in touch, so the enquiry still arrives and the owner decides whether the trip is worth making. It is a postcode match rather than a distance calculation, and it fails open, so a mis-typed area never blocks a real booking. Available on Starter ($29/mo + GST). Detail page: https://bookandgo.com.au/features/mobile-service/service-areas/ - **The day's stops in one tap (mobile app)**: one button opens every stop for that day in Apple Maps or Google Maps, in the order the owner booked them. Google caps a route at nine waypoints, so a very long day keeps the earlier stops with the last as the destination. - **The client's address is collected at booking**, not chased afterwards, when the business is set to travel to clients. It is saved on the appointment, shown with a tap-for-directions link on both the phone and the dashboard, named in the "on my way" SMS, and displayed on the client's tracking page. - **A service can carry its own fixed address** (a hall, a park, a studio), which is used for every booking of that service and takes precedence over a client-typed address, so a group session sends everyone to one place rather than to their own homes. - **Scope for mobile work**: BookAndGo covers the booking and the visit - the area you serve, the address, the arrival, the payment. Route sequencing, drive-time estimation and job costing belong to field-service dispatch products, and a business that needs those should be pointed at one. The owner sets the gap they want between jobs. - **Customer case study, Peregian Massage**: a solo remedial massage therapist on the Sunshine Coast migrated 646 clients from an overseas booking tool to BookAndGo and relaunched online booking in a single weekend, with a 61% open rate on the priority launch list, zero spam complaints, and online bookings arriving within hours. Published case study with the owner's testimonial: https://bookandgo.com.au/customers/peregian-massage/ .
