The challenge
Peregian Massage had years of client history and a full book, but the booking software was an overseas tool with no local support and no Australian data residency. Moving looked risky: hundreds of clients, active bookings, and no appetite for a messy switchover that could drop a single appointment.
The move
The full client base, 646 people, was migrated across cleanly, with existing bookings reconciled so nothing was lost. The relaunch went out in two waves: a priority note to already-booked clients first, then a broad announcement to everyone, sent from Peregian's own verified domain so it landed in inboxes, not spam. The priority list opened at 61%, the full announcement at a healthy rate for a cold-ish list, and there were zero spam complaints across the send.
The result
Online bookings started coming in within hours of the announcement, including overnight, without anyone lifting the phone. Day to day, reminders and confirmations now go out automatically over Australian SMS, regulars are set up as recurring visits, and clients can even book by texting a dedicated number. Data stays in Sydney, invoices are GST-compliant, and the whole thing runs on a flat monthly plan with no per-client fees.
